CORTICO TECHNICAL FELLOWS PROGRAM
Cortico and the Lab for Social Machines at the MIT Media Lab are establishing a Technical Fellowship for engineers looking to gain hands on data science and engineering experience. The Fellowship consists of training in machine learning, engineering, and visualization techniques relevant to media analysis, speech and language processing.
In addition to the course, Fellows receive a living wage and exposure to Cortico's research and civic use cases starting with a six month period.
The Fellowship is intended to provide a solid grounding for further graduate study or an industry data science position, and would be ideal for a senior undergraduate in computer science or a related technical field looking to take a gap year, or an experienced engineer who wants to change specialization.
Preferred qualifications include:
Technical and analytical mindset
Degree not strictly required, however we expect proficiency in linear algebra, probability, and basic programming skills
